Firewall v2.0 (2012)

Firewall v2.0 was the followup to FILE_ERROR and a sequel-of-sorts to Firewall by Muffin Express. It is a fast-paced top-down shooter where the player must prevent a slew of ever increasing enemies from breaching the defenses.

Firewall v2.0 was the second short-term solo project developed entirely in the Zero Engine. The goal was to design a game that falls within the shooter genre and allowed me to draw upon previous games that I had worked on for inspiration. It was also relatively easy to replicate the aesthetics of FILE_ERROR and the previous Firewall game, which was imperative for getting the game completed on time. Fortunately, by the time I started on this project I had grown much more comfortable with the engine and programming in general.
