Super Slime Massacre (2013)

Super Slime Massacre pits a lone knight against a horde of never ending slime monsters intent on devouring him! It’s up to the lone knight to clear the sewers so that all may enjoy clean drinking water without the fear of death.

Super Slime Massacre (SSM) was my fourth Zero Engine project, the goal was to create a game within the Role-Playing genre. I chose to implement systems and mechanics that would deliver an arcade style hack-n-slash and allow for some replability, without completely scoping outside of my time limit. SSM features some basic, linear character progression. Stats such as HP and Attack increase as the knight gains experience, with each level up allowing the player to invest in or improve one of their activated abilities. This was definitely one of the most difficult projects to date, especially having such limited time to deliver a full functional RPG experience that has a reasonable amount of content, character progression, and meaningful choices.
